Discontentment
By admin | February 25, 2008
We are constantly showed things that we didn’t know we needed til we saw them. A few weeks back I was introduced to Rock Band. And before I saw this I had no idea I needed it. But now that I have seen it, I now need it. It’s funny how that works.
Lots of times I didn’t even know something existed before I realize I needed it. I talk about discontentment with “stuff” a lot because I believe it is directly correlated with how we make decisions with our money, and this is a money blog.
The thing about discontentment is it is like an appetite. Whenever I go to outback I go to town. I love that place. I get the bloomin’ onion for an appetizer, devour delicious bread and salad, then top it off with alice springs chicken for my entree. I always wish I was hungry enough to try the chocolate thunder from down under but never can.
Every time I leave outback I have thoughts of never needing to eat again. This is never the case. My appetite always comes back. Sure, my appetite is satisfied for a little bit but it will be back. When we want something and then we get it, we are usually satisfied but this will only keep us satisfied for a short amount of time.
I want to talk on this tomorrow, this had the possibility of getting really long and it would do better as two posts.
