By admin | October 19, 2007
My articles were featured in many Blog Carnivals this week so many thanks is in order to:
- Mighty Bargain Hunter for including me and my article “How to Budget with an Irregular Income.” You can check out the carnival Carnival of Personal Finance. Definitely check these guys out. There are some good articles up.
- How to Make a Million Dollars Blog also included my Irregular income article in the Festival of Under 30 Finances.
- Everything Finance Blog also gave me a shout out and included on of my articles in the Carnival of Everything Finance.
- Fire Finance gave me the privelege of being included in this edition of Festival of Frugality.
- Widow’s Quest for including my article “Is a Penny Saved Really a Penny Earned” in How to Solve Your Money Worries.
- My Debt Relief Plan featured “Never Have a Car Payment” in this edition of Carnival of Wealth Building Ideas.
- Debt Consolidation Lowdown included “Sound the Alarm!” in the recent Carnival of Debt Management.
Now on to the Friday Forwards!
As I said last week, I read a lot of blogs and these 4 are the cream of the crop and usually an entertaining article.
My Money Blog has a cool article Is a Dollar Always a Doller. Scroll down to his tv/calculator example. It really makes you evaluate funny spending behavior.
Get Rich Slowly talks about his dilema in wanting an XM radio but dislikes monthly service costs. Check out his article Recurring Monthly Costs. I am right there with him, no monthly fees for me please!
The Simple Dollar has 10 Simple Ways to Beat Impulse Buying. I definitely am an impulsive shopper; this is a pretty good read if you are the same way.
Lastly I had to include the Life Hacker article on Office Pranks: Change the Default Message on HP Printers. I know many people who could have some fun with that. Also Life Hacker had a article on Mint.com which is basically an online Microsoft Money or Quicken. I have been waiting to give my endorsement on this site. I do use it just for testing purposes but it has some kinks in needs to work out. Check out their review here.
