How to get Super Bowl Tickets…

    By admin | February 12, 2009

I ran across this from Huslter Money Blog

Unless you are rich, famous, or both..your chance of getting Super Bowl tickets are slim to none. I’m always curious of how those people manage to get their hands on Super Bowl tickets. After little research, it turns out that there are very little amount of tickets go to the general public. The big game tickets are usually reserved for the fans of the two Super Bowl teams. The NFL has a drawing of 500 pair of tickets for general public each year, here is how you can have a chance of getting Super Bowl tickets.

    1. Write a letter to NFL requesting 2 tickets (max allowed) with your full name, address, and phone number.
    2. Send it to:

    Super Bowl Random Drawing

    P.O Box 49140

    Strongsville, OH 44149-0140

    From the website:

How can I buy Super Bowl tickets?

The only method the NFL has to distribute tickets to the public is through a random drawing. There is no other way for the general public to purchase tickets. The NFL does not sell tickets to travel or ticket agents.

Entries for the random drawing are accepted between Feb. 1 and June 1 of the year preceding the game in question. All ticket requests must be sent via certified or registered mail. Those selected in the random drawing will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets.

    They should be sent to:

    Super Bowl Random Drawing
    P.O. Box 49140
    Strongsville, OH 44149-0140

Please note that only one request per address is accepted. All duplicate requests will be disregarded.

The last day they will accept it for the drawing is June 1st. The face value for a pair of tickets is $200. They obviously go for much more off ebay (if its illegal to do that I am not telling you to do it).

I imagine you could also do this with all the big sporting events such as the NBA finals, NHL finals, MLB world series, U S Open and the Masters, etc….
