It’s Snowing (Lessons from the Snow)
By admin | January 20, 2009
In Columbia, SC (and I am sure in other parts of SC) it is snowing right now. Isn’t that wonderful?
Also this brings me to my first post titled (Lessons from the Snow).
Columbia kinda shuts down (or tries to shut down) when there is snow or ice. We just aren’t prepared for it. We know that if we kept business/schools running as usual there would be accidents, injuries, and possibly even worst things.
As I was driving in the snow I was thinking, “This might be kinda dangerous.” And I began to drift and think about all the things in life that are important. None of the thoughts were about money. None of the thoughts were about cars. None of the thoughts were about nice stuff…seriously.
However, we spend our lives chasing after that and all it takes is a little snow for me to remember that it is so un-important.
Whatever helps you remember to not waste your life and pursue treasures that moth and rust will destroy (Matthew 6) please implement the reminders in your own life. For me I will likely have to have something besides snow, cause a once every five years reminder probably won’t cut it.
