    Workouts are Easy

    By admin | December 18, 2007

Pull UpsYou should see me in the gym at Stronghold. In fact, just this morning I was doing hundreds of pull-ups while everyone was gathered around chanting my name.

Yes, you have guessed it, I am not speaking the truth. In fact, workouts are not easy at all and even more difficult for someone like me who has taken a good 2 years off of consistently working out.

Why do we work out? Simple, we want to be healthier. There are many reasons that lead up to us wanting to be healthier (i.e. look good, better at sports, etc.) but the ultimate reason that it comes to is we want to be healthier. In order to get there we have to get through some things that are not easy. Early wake-ups, soreness, discouragement, slow progress, and my least favorite part…membership fees.

There are all sorts of things that we have to plow through in order to get to our ultimate goal of physical health. The same is true with financial health. There are going to be all sorts of obstacles and hurdles that we have to get through to become financially healthy.

Your motivations for being financially healthy might be specific (pay for college, get out of debt, etc.) but just like with workouts it all boils down to health. It is important to understand when you are the road to being healthy financially you are going to see similar things that you have to get through. It is going to be a process and you may not see fast improvements at first and with slow progress most people give up.

One thing you have to understand if you are in a financial mess is you did not get into it overnight which of course means you won’t be able to get out of it overnight either.
